This tragedy in Bangladesh is terrible. It just goes to show you that Americans aren’t the only ones who can become heroes. I think people in America forget about the rest of the world. Either that or they think that we’re the best, thus the only ones worth paying attention to. That is just not true. We aren’t the best country in the world anymore and we have a lot of work to do if we want to be again. But this is a tragedy that could have and should have been completely avoided and it just shows that the big companies, such as GAP and the other companies that were contracting with that factory, just don’t give a shit. It’s terrible and I applaud the Bangladeshis who worked to find survivors.

Good for Jason Collins. It takes courage to come out as gay, especially as a professional athlete. I’m glad someone has finally done it and maybe more will follow. Big day for sports, the NBA, and the gay community. Hopefully this will bring more talk to moving down the roal to equality.

A Song of Ice and Fire 1: A Game of Thrones Book Review

This is the most tightly plotted book in the series, I think. I can easily see how after finishing this book Martin would have thought this was going to be a trilogy. This one does not leave you with cliffhanger endings like A Storm of Swords, but you do want to know what happens next. I feel like this next book is where the book and story will begin to pick up steam, although many people say that nothing happens until the end of this book. They say the same of A Feast For Crows, but I’ll comment on those when I get to them. It’s going to be cool because I barely remember A Clash of Kings, and this is the book where I began missing so much. So rereading this next book will be great. This book takes about 50% to really get moving and get some steam, but this first book is a great beginning to one of the best series of novels in literature, or at least fantasy literature.

I love the White House Corespondents Dinner. It gives Washington, DC to look at itself with a humor. Obama was great last night, much better than Conan O'Brian, or so I heard, I didn't see Conan. I love this though. I like to see a president who can laugh at himself and jab at others, supporters and critics alike.

'The Five' Hosts Lash Out At Jon Stewart's Attacks (VIDEO)

This is great. Fox gets so mad at a comedy show. Forget the fact that the figure they cite are not cited themselves. It is just so funny how upset they get at their own ignorance. When Jon Stewart calls them out on their bullshit, they get upset. It's great.

The Rains of Castamere

This song is killing me. This is a phenomenal version.

This was a stupid article to write; it says absolutely nothing. The FBI concluded a search at a landfill, but we don't know what they were looking for or if they found it. The bombing was a disgusting act of terror, but the press seems to be writing about anything. This article was a waste of ink because it gives no new information, if there is any to be had, and I don't see the point of it. It is stupid, pointless stories like that that cause people to hate the media. I mean, in regards to this article, who cares? I'm not minimizing the bombing, but just this particular article. What does it say? What's its point? I don't know.
